European Sea Bass

European Sea Bass (Dicentrarchus labrax) was the first non-salmonid marine species to be commercially farmed in Europe and it is currently the most important and widely farmed commercial fish in Mediterranean areas. Greece, Turkey, Italy, Spain, Croatia and Egypt are the largest producers.

Although European Sea Bass are mainly produced in Cages, there are also productions in pools on land, mainly in estuaries.
